The morning sunlight, as it filters in through the windows, the last couple of mornings has been absolutely refreshing to both mind and spirit.
I think having the blinds open has helped all of those in our house hold to have a brighter disposition at this point in the winter season. Winter is beautiful but our daughter reminds us, whenever we go outdoors, in her loudest and brightest voice, "Spring is coming!"

Ivy
Spent this morning in a lecture with the BA students. It was about landscape photography. As interesting as it was, I kept thinking about what kind of photographer I am.
What kind of photographer am I?
I like making photographs no matter the subject. Landscapes or portraits, doesn't matter to me they are both fascinating. I would like more experience with still life and commercial assignments as well. Until then I will continue to try and figure out if I should follow one path or the other.

Dark room Techniques

These photographs were taken on film and then printed in a traditional darkroom. Different techniques were used such as pushing and pulling film, film destruction, and using a Holga camera.
Tattoos

Did you know that Kelly Osbourne is having some of hers removed. Though I will never get one, it is an interesting form and expression of art.

I am thinking of starting a series of portraits where peoples eyes are shut. Perhaps one shot with eyes open, with another shot where the eyes are closed.

McKay wants to be scientist when he grows up. It was a lot of fun getting some natural shots of him in his own home.
- About David Summerill
- There is a scripture in the Doctrine and Covenants section 130 verses 18 -19 that reads: "18-Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection. 19-And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come." That is the reason I am living in England and attending the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham. I am working on a MFA in Photography in order to further my secular intelligence. Additionally I am learning more than I ever thought I would about having faith in God and where he leads us in life. I graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a degree in Recreation Management and a minor in Photography. If I am not photographing, then you can find me running, mountain biking, or spending time with my family.
